  1. Yeah, that’s exactly why 99% of Christians are fake these days. They make up their own fictional additions to the Bible, or completely misinterpret it, like Catholics. Contrary to popular belief, however, you can’t put words in God’s mouth; no amount of corruption will ever change the truth. Next time you want to do something like this, check with Christianity in its original form, Orthodox, first, and avoid making a complete fool of yourself.

  2. No, I do not hate. But if you do that you shame me and you will not receive my grace. Give not into the fleeting temptation of the flesh and instead create families, as I have shown you with my son.

What you do in your short time on Earth has great weight in the everlasting experience afterward.

All your decisions in life should be carefully considered both individually and collectively. Listen to The Mother’s words of Fatima, and Garabandal.

There is too much sin in the world.

  3. woah… my name is ALLAH ok? Sheesh…

  4. Actually the bible says pretty clearly that gay people are evil; according to the bible, two cities were destroyed specifically because of it.

The real question is: why would you listen to a book of myths written by ignorant goat herders?

  5. “Contrary to popular belief, however, you can’t put words in God’s mouth; no amount of corruption will ever change the truth.”

Yes, and the truth is found right in the Bible.

    “All have sinned”

“Whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all”.

Go ahead, cite “homosexuality is an abomination at me” and I’ll cite “lying lips are an abomination onto the Lord” right back at you, and then leave you with “For God so loved the WHOLE WORLD that He gave his only begotten son…”

God doesn’t hate people who are gay, God hates sin. God doesn’t hate people. God is just.

You’re right, you can’t put words in God’s mouth. And when people scream GOD HATES GAYS, they’re putting words in God’s mouth. I’d be more… much more inclined to say… God weeps over homosexuality, but they’re people as much as we are. It’s a sin, yes, a perversion, yes. So are a lot of other things.

Hate the sin, not the sinner. :)

I’m glad there are a few other Christians not running around and screaming GOD HATES GAYS BUUURN, actually. XP Win more flies with honey than vinegar. They’ll just stop listening when you do that to them. =(

  6. Love it!

Yes, this is so true. God does not hate anyone who is gay. There are other opinions out there, but you will always know God by his love, not his hate. Whatever ways fallible humans have corrupted and misinterpreted His word is not the fault of God.

  7. God says a lot of things in the bible that Man seems to pick and choose what will be followed and what will not be followed.

  8. Considering Christians are supposed to follow the teachings of Jesus (who, consequently, never married and only picked men as his apostles), this quote is correct; Jesus never spoke about homosexuality. However, the quote is attributed to “God.” Which god is not clear - there is more than one religion in the world and consequently many gods.
Let’s keep in mind, however, first came people. Then came religion. And the arguing has never ended…

  9. “…and instead create families, as I have shown you with my son.”

I hate to break it to you, but Jesus (I assume that’s whom you’re referring to?) did not in fact create any families; he never married, had no kids, and, we assume, died a virgin.

Jesus himself was the product of a virgin birth, not heterosexuality.

Jesus himself never speaks very highly of family life, telling people to give it up and follow him - and he never really talks about marriage at all, I assume because he was a bachelor who generally hung out with his dozen single male friends who also never married,

Don’t get any ideas! Just because Jesus never married and hung out with a bunch of guys who also never married, even though society at that time had almost everyone marrying before they were 20, doesn’t mean that there was anything wrong with them! While the Bible doesn’t actually discuss this matter, there has to be a good explanation for it.

  10. @Styyl: Have you even read the Old Testament?
    How can you explain this?

    Leviticus 18:22
“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

It seems pretty clear to me. You can also check this out:
    http://www.leaderu.com/orgs/probe/docs/homotheo.html

I am not a religious person, but it really annoys me when people say they believe in God, but don’t actually know what they believe in. Homosexuality is clearly condamned in the Bible … if you only choose certain parts which you like from it, you might just as well forget about the whole thing altogether.

  11. Yeah…
    God doesn’t really care.
    He loves everybody.
    so there.

  12. “Contrary to popular belief, I don’t exist.” - God

  13. More correct should be “God does not PARTICULARLY hate homosexuality.” God loves ALL men & women - gay, straight, muslims, and yes, even Christians! But God also hates all sins that men commits, which includes homosexuality according to the Bible.

Not my words, but of Bible. Many people translated it, but nobody changed it since it was “officially” written in the 3rd century, and has endured gazillions of scrutinies since then.

  14. What’s strange is that god (of the judeo-christian bible) destroyed sodom and gomorrah because of their huge gay populations, and saved only Lot and his daughters since they were true believers. However this same god allowed Lot to sleep with both his daughters afterwards and get them both pregnant and did not punish him! So, let me get this straight: you can’t love a person of the same sex, but you can have sex your own children. Hmmmmmmm.
Oh, and don’t forget, you can’t eat shellfish. Nowhere in the new testament does Jesus, who was Jewish, say “hey, you can all stop being kosher!”
More proof that gods were created by man.

  15. Fuck you, T. You are a perversion.

  16. Way to go mom… spoken like a true Christian believer!

Makes me proud to call myself a Christian. Keep up the good work, you’ll have the converts running through the church doors in no time.

    Sheeeeeeze…

  17. Who cares what god thinks? He doesn’t exist!

  18. It’s amazing how God is unknowable, yet Christians seem to know his thoughts and wishes..

  19. live life, get paid and get laid, the motto of the finchmeister.

  20. The Bible NEVER says gay people are evil. It does, however state very clearly that the gay lifestyle is a sin against God.

God is NOT unknowable, but I can see how it would be difficult to truly understand that God makes himself known every day all over the world in many lives, if you dont not have a relationship with him.

God DOES care about your lifestyle. He does care about the choices you make, becaue he does want to see you with the rest of us in heaven. Hope to see you there!

  21. Religion and anyone who thinks God or religion is real sucks as well.

Religion was merely created by homophobes who wanted to spread their message of hate. Christianity is no better than Scientology except for the fact they don’t have some crazy guy who is a sucky actor representing them.

  22. all sins are equal. being gay is no worse than any sin committed by any human being. humans are designed with a sinful nature. it’s our relationship with god that causes us to turn away from sin. god does not love a gay person less than he loves any one else.

  23. “Jesus himself never speaks very highly of family life, telling people to give it up and follow him - and he never really talks about marriage at all,”

Actually he condemned divorcing except on the grounds of fornication. That is support for marriage … strong support. A close reading of the scriptures shows that a number of women, including possibly his mother, also traveled with the entourage. You may recall that the women were the first to discover that his tomb was empty.

” I assume because he was a bachelor who generally hung out with his dozen single male friends who also never married,”

Your assumption is not well founded.

“Catholic scholars, writing in the Encyclopedic Dictionary of the Bible, say: “Most, if not all the apostles had been married, as Peter certainly was.” In evidence of Peter’s marriage, this Catholic book cites two texts: Matthew 8:14 and 1 Corinthians 9:5. The first speaks of Peter’s “mother-in-law.” In the second Paul says: “Have we not . . . the right to take a Christian woman round with us, like all the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?”—The Catholic Jerusalem Bible.”

God does not hate gays. He invites them to repent and turn around. The the decision to obey or to continue in their rebellion is theirs.

However, in addition to the cardinal quality of love, God also displays power and justice to an impressive degree. He dealt with Adam & Eve; he can deal with Adam & Steve, too.

  24. Why would any of you idiots even believe that the Bible is even true? It’s all bull$#!+ just like your god. I suppose if you are too stupid to think for yourself, you have to invent magical, mythological creatures and make-believe books to live by.

  25. Ian said: “Actually the bible says pretty clearly that gay people are evil; according to the bible, two cities were destroyed specifically because of it.”

God destroyed those cities not because they were gay but because they were ALL raping others and other vile acts.

  26. I don’t know if I should be laughing or taking sides! lol…is it photoshopped?

  27. Just randomly popping in here from StumbleUpon, but…

“God does not hate”, you say.

    Psalm 5:5
“The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes; You hate all who do iniquity.”

    Psalm 11:5
“The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates.”

I would claim that because God is love, God hates. True love hates, or it isn’t love. When we love that which is good, then we hate that which is evil.

Does this mean that I hold up signs proclaiming that “God hates fags”? Absolutely not, that’s disgusting. However, God does detest homosexuality and those which commit it… He wouldn’t call it an “abomination” if he didn’t. It isn’t “okay”–it needs to stop, because it leads to destruction… But hey, you’re not going to listen to me unless you want to do so anyway.

  28. Leviticus 18:22
“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

I take this as if you lie with anyone it’s a sin, so having children is a sin so, every single person in the world is a sinner not just gay people, if this were true, God didn’t want a human race at all, which sounds daft to me.

  29. no god.

  30. Closed minded X-Tians who believe in archaic books that were written before radio, TV, rock n roll, etc slayeth me. Free you friggin mind idiots. If you must believe this old system of population control, don’t use god and hate in the same sentence. It’s stoopid.

  31. Umm there is no god..end of discussion. Dumbasses!

  32. Nope, gays are fine with me. The only person I truly hate is Susan Alvedo of Edwardsville, IL. She pretty much knows why.

  33. Hate the SIN, Love the Sinner! Maybe some read a different Bible but doesn’t Sodom and Gomorrah talk all about homosexuality and fornication?

As a former popular song by Smashing Pumkings states- “The world is a vampire…”

  34. If you are a bible thumping fundamentalist then you will believe that God created man in his own image. God created all humans. Including gay men and women. God gave us all free will. Therefore, gay men and women were made in God’s image and God is responsible for there behaviour which, after all, is just human.
Maybe the fundamentalists should stop using God’s Word as an excuse for their own fears and bigotry.

  35. as someone who had the christian belief thrust upon me before i knew what the word “think” meant, i can assure you that most people who believe in fables..sorry..religion, are the kind of people with more skeletons in their closet than all of wall street and corporate big wigs combined. they prey on young minds because they are the most impressionable and easy to bend at will.
there are many different things in the most current version of the bible that contradict each other. i believe this was because the papal state of the dark ages didn’t have such good proofreaders when they edited the “really bad stuff” out that ‘god’ and others did or said. i mean, they had to miss some stuff since the monks who were translating and editing it for the pope(s) were put to death if they found something they thought should remain in it and the pope didn’t like because ‘god told him to leave that part out’. holy cats, the book in it’s current form is over 1000 years old, and the original has that one beat by 2000+ more years. other holy texts from other religions have scriptures that are even older, they are not some user manual for life, they are morality tales, kinda like Aesop’s fables only with more rape, killing and incest. Chaucer had nothing on them. heck, the Kama-Sutra has less objectionable content. i believe whoever wrote these stories waaaaaaaay back then were geniuses (if the translations are concrete) why, you ask? because they wrote these stories over 300 centuries ago yet today there are still people who cower and wince when someone says a cuss word around them since they read that book and take it as absolute truth. i now understand why the bible is the bestselling horror compendium of all time. btw, if god hates gay people, sinners, or mankind; what is he waiting for, why have we not been wiped off the face of the earth. (and don’t give me that hogwash about the rapture, and everyone running around on fire because they touched themselves the day prior without praying for the spilled seed or whatnot, i don’t buy it. now David Copperfield on the other and, his work i like) speaking of homosexuals, the catholic church and many sub-genres of christianity in the u.s. (namely the ones with a munitions shed on their “compound” (think jonestown)) must be on the big G’s most wanted list because of their complete and utter debauchery of women and children. but let’s not get on their case because as we’ve all heard, relentlessly, he (god in case you forgot who we were on about) did have a kid that we killed. but he knew that was gonna happen so why worship a sacrificial shell, a meat puppet, i mean it has more impact if you follow the magician, not the sock on his hand. ok, done ranting about the superstitious and weak-minded.

  36. God is dead.

  37. Um, just like to point out, @The Truth, actually, there WAS a point were (if i remember it correctly, the details may be fuzzy, but the message behind is clear) Matthew was shown a biiiig blanket with lots of animals on (in a dream/vision, btw), and was told he could eat any animal on there, so basically, God said “Hey, guys, don’t bother with the kosher!”
But apart from that point, i gotta say that all of these arguments look pretty interesting so far.
Well. You know, some of them. :)

  38. you know, gays would have been being married forever, if they hadn’t been stoned to death instead
